You close your eyes, and you see

Something’s coming for you

I cannot move, I cannot scream

Paralysed and filled with a fear

Waking up, it disappears

I don’t know what to do

But I begin to see

Why it couldn’t touch me

After all it was just in my mind

Deprived of sleep in an endless fight

The gift of a second sight

To purge it you must turn on the light

It lays dormant inside

Deprived of sleep it is black and white

Lost my mind tonight I fell down…

Holding tight under blanket I try to hide

 

A fearsome monster

Under your bed at this night

Can’t you see? It’s misery

Illusions given form

An evil face, no human race

Got scared and turned on the light

Skipping sleep and I don’t care

if eight is the norm

 

But, I begin to see. What’s happening to me?

God, why is this happening to me?
